This rocky coastline, sometimes sandy, is characterized by areas where the color of water ranges from cobalt blue to emerald green and from the thick vegetation that slopes down to the sea. In about 30 minutes of navigation you reach the Murenario di Sant’Irene, an ancient fishpond; large tufa rock that in Roman times worked by man was transformed into a fish farm for breeding fish. Still visible today is the main pool connected by semi-submerged canals to the secondary pools, and it is beautiful to swim inside; equipped with a mask you will discover the many fish, octopus, starfish, sea urchins, anemones, molluscs and aquatic plants that have made their habitat in this area.
